ASPN Summer Webinar Series #1 – July 10, 2020 – 2-4pm Eastern
Urine in the Know – Advocacy: Past, Present and Future Perspectives

Brief Description of Overall Session:   The “Urine the Know” workshop has become a popular staple of the ASPN Program to promote recent research highlights from early career investigators and feature lectures from established faculty. This year’s session will dedicate the first hour to celebrate cutting-edge research published over the past year by junior faculty and trainees. In the second hour, we will focus on ASPN advocacy, celebrating 10 years of JELF scholars. This will focus on the history, current status, and future directions of advocacy in pediatric renal disease. Following the lectures, we will end with a Q&A of current and past JELF scholars.

  1. Highlight recently published, cutting-edge research from junior faculty and trainees.
  2. Review the history ASPN advocacy.
  3. Explore the current issues in advocating for pediatric nephrology patients.
  4. Discuss the future directions of advocacy in pediatric renal disease.
